Job Description:
We are seeking an Electrical Harness Designer to create detailed electrical schematics and manufacturing documentation for harnesses used to connect advanced sensors and computing to self-driving robotic vehicles.  Automotive or heavy equipment electrical troubleshooting and/or wiring experience is desired.  We regularly are outfitting a large variety of automotive, trucking, construction, and mining platforms, and one of the critical components to each of these systems is the wiring and electrical design.

Responsibilities: 
·       Design and create schematics from system conceptual architecture
·       Design and create 2D harness manufacturing drawings
·       Generate and maintain harnessing bill of materials
·       Assist with integration of harnesses with prototype robotic systems
·       Develop and conduct component and system testing, inspection and documentation
·       Work with other engineers to evaluate interface between system components and the overall system operation and performance
·       Revise and maintain electrical documentation for robotic systems
·       Wiring harness & connector assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
·       Electrical system diagnostics
·       Reading & understanding wiring schematics and engineering assembly drawings
·       Familiarity with electronics test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, circuit analyzers)
·       Occasional travel may be required
 
Qualifications: 
·       Bachelor’s degree, in related field, from four-year college or university is preferred
·       1-3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
·       Experience with wiring design / documentation is required 
·       Experience with assembling and building harnesses is preferred
·       Experience with Zuken E3 is preferred
·       IPC-620 CIS training is required - training will be provided for employees who are not already certified
