TORC Robotics is seeking a Commercial Contracts Manager to manage its commercial contracts and its Intellectual Property (IP) at the pre-award and post-award level.
 
This position will provide strategic consultation and guidance to TORC management on all contractual, risk and business decisions that have an impact on the contracts function as assigned. In addition to managing all aspects of TORCS commercial contracts, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of TORC’s intellectual property and must be able to become specialized in understanding the company’s products and the intellectual property contained therein.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support proposal activity, lead contract negotiations, manage contract financing, risk assessment and management and ensuring the protection of the organization’s interests, as well as full compliance with customer and contractual requirements through closeout
  • Drive, lead, influence and oversee TORC’s intellectual property program
  • Strategize and implement action plans to address potential intellectual property incursions and areas of opportunity
  • Proactively review and assess the patent landscape in the company’s product and application fields to assess competitive threats and trends in the various markets we serve
 
Qualifications:
  • Experience negotiating and administering commercial contracts
  • Integrity and strong focus on compliance with internal standards and policies: ability to proactively provide guidance to contract management personnel or internal customers as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of directly related experience in Commercial Contracts Management required
  • J.D. or MBA preferred, but not required
  • Proven expertise with Intellectual Property (IP)
  • Ability to draft and negotiate contractual agreements, as well as special terms and conditions  
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and deal tactfully and confidentially with internal and external customers at all organizational levels in a dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership, supervision and team-building skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and coordinate multiple tasks within time constraints 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
